Postdoc Position Available at PNNL

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is currently seeking applications for a postdoc position in the Climate Physics Group. The primary area of research will include cloud resolving modeling of deep convective clouds and the associated detrained anvil/cirrus. The selected candidate will work with PNNL scientists to understand the microphysical and dynamical processes associated with cirrus and convective systems. The candidate should be comfortable working with aircraft, ground-based, and/or satellite observations for use in model evaluation.

A PhD in Atmospheric Science or a related field within the past five years is required. The successful candidate must have experience with cloud resolving modeling and knowledge of cloud processes. Familiarity with high performance computing is preferred. Additional requirements and application information can be found on the PNNL website (position #119133). Questions regarding this position may be sent to Jennifer Comstock (Jennifer.Comstock@pnl.gov) or Jiwen Fan (Jiwen.Fan@pnl.gov).
