The Centre for Australian Weather and Climate Research (CAWCR) is currently seeking applications for a scientist position (#10539) in the Atmosphere, Land, Observation, and Assessment Group, in collaboration with ARM scientists. This position is expected to be a two-year assignment. The primary area of research will include a study on the evolution of tropical cloud systems using a combination of polarimetric weather radar, cloud radar, and other instruments.

An MSc or PhD and relevant research experience are required. The successful candidate must possess knowledge of mesoscale meteorology and convective dynamics, as well as have experience analyzing large and complex data sets using MATALAB, IDL, or comparable software systems.
