Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is currently seeking a postdoc for a two-year appointment studying in the area of cumulus cloud parameterizations and climate modeling in the Atmospheric, Earth and Energy Division (AEED) for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Cloud-Associated Parameterizations Testbed (CAPT) project at LLNL that aims to diagnose and improve the representation of clouds in climate models through the application of weather forecast techniques to climate models. . Preference will be given to applicants with a background in cumulus convection, climate modeling, and climate model diagnosis.
