The Water & Earth System Science Research Institute (WESS), located in Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg, is currently seeking a postdoctoral researcher to study the impact of changing environmental conditions on the water cycle as well as on the fate of pollutants and nutrients in water, soil, and aquifers at the catchment scale. WESS is a joint collaboration of the Universities of Tübingen, Hohenheim, Stuttgart and the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research–UFZ, Leipzig. Successful candidates should have experience in land-surface and/or atmospheric variational or ensemble-based data assimilation. A PhD in mathematics, physics, or earth sciences or comparable achievements is required. Experience in programming land-surface and/or atmospheric models is desired.
