The Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security Group (CCAFS) is currently seeking applications for three Regional Facilitator positions located in Niamey, Niger; Nairobi, Kenya; and Delhi, India. CCAFS is a program of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and the Earth System Science Partnership (ESSP). Their mission is to bring together the world’s best talent in agricultural science, development research, climate science, and Earth System science (www.ccafs.cgiar.org). Regional Facilitators will assist the Director with fundraising efforts and will have a major role facilitating scenario development in each region.
Successful candidates should have a PhD and at least 5 years experience with agricultural systems and stakeholders of the region. Fluency in English (and French for West Africa) is required. Experience with managing budgets and people, fundraising efforts, and any of the topics CCAFS deals with is desired.
These positions are 3-year appointments with the option to renew based upon satisfactory performance, relevance of the position, and available resources. Application deadline is February 20, 2010.
