Applications are being accepted for a postdoctoral research position in the Climate, Atmospheric Science, Physical Oceanography Division of Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The research will be in the areas of convection and cloud parameterization and the interaction of convection, clouds, and climate. Applicants with a Ph.D. in atmospheric science or meteorology are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in NCAR CAM3 and CCSM3, cloud-resolving models, developing or testing convection and cloud parameterizations. Relevant research experience includes studies on MJO, ENSO and ITCZ.

The position is available immediately. Salary is commensurate with qualification and experience and is based on University of California salary scales.
