Tenure-Track Faculty Position at University of North Dakota


The University of North Dakota is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure-track faculty position within the Department of Atmospheric Sciences. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, where the nominal teaching load is three courses per year. Demonstrated expertise and enthusiasm for teaching is highly desirable.

Successful candidate will also be expected to develop a program of externally funded research. The ability to collaborate with scientists within and outside the department is highly desirable. A PhD in atmospheric sciences or a related discipline is required, along with a proven record of publication and external funding. An individual with demonstrated expertise is desired in one or more of the following areas: boundary-layer meteorology, hydrometeorology, climate systems/modeling, or airborne research. This position will be filled at the assistant/associate professor level, depending on qualifications. Hiring at the full professor level will be considered for exceptional qualifications.
