The Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, at the University of Colorado, is seeking a research associate in the area of Indian-Pacific Ocean circulation and ocean-atmosphere interaction, including the role of the Indian Ocean in the Madden-Julian Oscillation initiation. The successful applicant will work with the principal investigator in collaboration with scientists at other institutions and research labs.
The successful candidate should have a PhD in ocean, atmospheric, climate sciences, or a related field. Statistical data analysis skills are required, and modeling experience is preferred. The initial appointment is for one year and renewable for another year, contingent upon performance and availability of funds.
