The Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics/Goddard Institute for Space Studies at Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences is accepting applications for a postdoc research scientist to study cloud micro-physical processes. The successful candidate will run model simulations and analyze data using satellite, ground-based remote-sensing and other field measurements.
Candidates must have a PhD in applied physics, mathematics, engineering, meteorology, or a related field and programming skills in FORTRAN, Perl, Python and scientific commercial software, such as MatLab or Interactive Data Language. Successful candidates must also have the ability to conduct independent research, work well in teams, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
