2007 ARM Science Team Meeting

March 26 – 30 | Monterey, California | Hyatt Regency, Monterey

Meeting Highlights

The Hyatt Regency - Monterey

Nearly 300 ARM scientists and ARM Climate Research Facility infrastructure staff attended the seventeenth ARM Science Team Meeting in Monterey, California, from March 26-30, 2007. Dr. Kiran Alapaty, who was appointed as the ARM Science Program Director in 2006, kicked off the weeklong meeting at the Tuesday morning plenary session with a welcome message. The rest of the meeting consisted of working group research reports, invited presentations, and in-depth evening sessions to review 182 posters prepared by principal investigators and infrastructure staff for onsite discussions.

Held annually since 1990, the ARM Science Team Meeting kicks off with a plenary session on Tuesday and includes formal presentations by invited speakers and breakout sessions covering specific research areas through Thursday. Working group meetings and special focus meetings are typically held on Monday and Friday. Poster session receptions were held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings to review and discuss results emerging from cloud and radiation measurement and modeling research.
