New data sets from the 95 GHz W-band ARM Cloud Radar-Active Remote Sensing of Clouds (WACR-ARSCL) are now available for download as an evaluation value-added product (VAP) for the ARM Mobile Facility (AMF) deployments in Hyytiälä, Finland, from February through September 2014, and Manacapuru, Brazil, from January through December 2014. Evaluation data have been previously shared for the Graciosa Island, Azores, deployment from the Clouds, Aerosol, and Precipitation in the Marine Boundary Layer (CAP-MBL) campaign and the Cape Cod, Massachusetts, deployment during the Two-Column Aerosol Project (TCAP).

The WACR-ARSCL evaluation VAP uses observations from the 95 GHz W-band ARM Cloud Radar (WACR), micropulse lidar, and ceilometer to produce cloud boundaries and time-height profiles of cloud location, radar moments, and linear depolarization ratio fields. The basic algorithm used in the WACR-ARSCL evaluation VAP is similar to that employed by the ARSCL VAP, which is based on 35-GHz Millimeter Cloud Radar observations.

Data from the WACR-ARSCL are available for the entire AMF deployment from Hyytiälä, Finland, during the Biogenic Aerosols – Effects on Clouds and Climate (BAECC) campaign. Since the AMF deployment in support of the Green Ocean Amazon (GOAMAZON) field campaign in Manacapuru, Brazil, is scheduled for two years, a partial data set is available from February 2014 to October 2014. Additional WACR-ARSCL data for GOAMAZON will be available for evaluation as it is processed.
