MOSAiC Blog: Sights of the Arctic, Part 4

Editor’s note: ARM technician Tercio Silva of Hamelmann Communications worked on Leg 2 of the Multidisciplinary Drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) expedition. ARM has a marine atmospheric emitted radiance interferometer (right) on the Polarstern to collect spectral infrared measurements. In the distance is the icebreaker Kapitan Dranitsyn, which was heading to the Polarstern for the Leg 2 to Leg 3 resupply.
