Teachers were excited to receive the lesson plans, and the kids really enjoyed the ARM activity books and event-wide scavenger hunt. A few of the teachers confided that they “bribed” their students to attend with the promise of a homework-free week, which I suspect may have contributed to some of the students’ level of excitement. Many of the children we visited with were fascinated with the cloud balloons. Though many of the younger children couldn’t name all eight cloud types, their questions certainly sparked some entertaining conversations. It was a very fun day!
